Rattlesnake creek, on it/s way to the clark fork river, flows past missoula/s campus inn. In 1805, during the lewis and clark expedition, merriweather lewis camped here. The campsite is commemorated by a historical marker just yards from our front door. Lewis wouldn/t recognize the area now, but today/s travelers will find restuarants and shopping around this historic spot, w/ the university of montana just two blocks away. .
